Kevin Mott uses military experience to help drivers every day
Helping drivers keep their wheels turning is the priority of the Driver Services Department. They are often the people whom drivers call while on the road with questions. They serve as advocates for drivers in their daily operations handling all aspects of roadside repairs, storage, fuel updates, and owner operator tractor repair support.

DNJ Intermodal Services Opens New Location in Bensenville
Chicago, IL: DNJ Intermodal Services (DNJ), a member of the IMC Companies family of brands, opened a new location in Bensenville, IL near the west side of O’Hare International Airport. DNJ will operate a neutral chassis pool that will help the trucking community expedite freight to and from the Bensenville rail ramp. This location will service the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Port Of Savannah’s $3 Billion Investment Plan Paves The Way For New, Lower Cost, Efficient And Consistent Rail Service Between The East Coast Port And The St. Louis Region
The St. Louis Regional Freightway and the Port of Savannah are forging a partnership to create a new connection between the St. Louis, Mo. region and the largest single-terminal container facility in the western hemisphere. In response to record movement of 4.3 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) in fiscal year 2017, the Port of Savannah is investing $3 billion to increase its containerized cargo capacity from 5 to 8 million TEUs by 2028. Region’s freight network adapts to global change
ST. LOUIS — Data gathered by the St. Louis Regional Freightway indicates that, in recent years, there have been tremendous shifts in what was flowing through the region’s freight network.
From iron ore and steel to soybean and plastics, different commodities have at different times moved by the thousands of tons or slowed to a trickle. But those changes have largely gone unnoticed and occurred without any negative effect on the region’s freight economy because the flexibility of the St. Louis region’s world class freight network allowed it to seamlessly adapt. Shippers, truckers hit chassis roadblock in Memphis
A coalition including shippers attempting to solve chassis problems in Memphis, Tennessee, has encountered an obstacle in its effort to launch an interoperable grey pool.
Two chassis providers — TRAC Intermodal and DirectChassis Link, Inc. (DCLI) — killed a proposed solution agreed upon by an association of ocean carriers and coalition of beneficial cargo owners (BCOs), truckers, and Class I railroads. TRAC and DCLI contend the interoperable pool isn’t the answer, at least not right now. Flexi-Van Leasing supported the initiative. (more…)
